man decays like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten

It is 9:31 AM Thursday morning. It is a cold dark damp day. It has been in the 60’s the last couple of days. It has not felt like Summer for a long time. Maybe as time goes on the days will get warmer once again? One can always hope for sunlight to appear once again.

I have been out of bed since 6:34 AM. Carol got up this morning around 5 o’clock AM. It feels right now that I have been up since the beginning of time.

When I got up I got a cup of coffee and sat next to Rudy rubbing his belly. Carol sat across from me reading her Bible.

Carol made a pot of oatmeal for a morning meal. I brought up out of the basement my lap top this morning. As I ate my oat meal I messed with my lap top.

After breakfast I read for morning devotions The Book of Job. Now I am down in our basement listening to the music of The Black Heart Procession. I read this morning online at Pitchfork media that The Black Heart Procession have a new record coming out in October 2009.

I have nothing important to do today. It is cold so I have been seeking to stay warm this morning.

Last night I took a nap from 5 o’clock PM till 7 o’clock PM. Carol got up around 9:30 PM last night. I watched television from 7 o’clock PM till 11 o’clock PM. I went to bed around 11 o’clock PM and read till late “Look Homeward: A Life of Thomas Wolfe” by David Herbert Donald. This is a wonderful biography.

Carol goes back to work tonight so I expect her to go to bed at Noon. I will read this afternoon “Look Homeward, Angel” a novel by Thomas Wolfe.

On July Fourth Carol and I are going to big used book sale in Grand Rapids. I have gone to this Fourth of July used book the last couple of years. Maybe we will find some gems to add to our book collection. One can always dream. I love books.

Well I will close to sit here listening to The Black Heart Procession.

“What is man, that he could be pure? And he who is born of a woman, that he could be righteous? If God puts no trust in His saints, and the heavens are not pure in His sight, how much less man, who is abominable and filthy, who drinks iniquity like water” Job 15:14-16
